What is a "Mess The Dress' Photo Shoot?
A more gentle version of the bewildering fashion known as ‘ Trash The Dress’
Dominic Kerridge offers this wedding photography service to 'brides-who-have-been' (rather than 'brides-to-be' having a pre wedding portrait) who would like to have some photographs taken AFTER their Wedding event, when there will be no issue concerning keeping the dress clean, immaculate, pristine and virgin white!
You may just want to take a ‘walk in the woods’, ‘sit on the beach’ or something quite innocent (yet seemingly impractical on the day!) However, if you want to go swimming in the sea with your dress on, have a cake fight with the bridesmaids or jump through a flaming hoop on a quad-bike (ie anything beyond the scope of salvage at the dry-cleaners) that will be fine with me.
Many brides complain after spending thousands of pounds on their wedding dress that their dress will now hibernate in a box under the bed. Sadly others woefully regret that on 'the day' they weren't able to be photographed in their wedding dress 'as they would like to have been' - with some personality and flair!
A 'Mess The Dress' (or 'Trash the Dress' if you so wish) Photo Shoot will allow you to be photographed along with your dress - where I will capture the splendor and glamour of your wedding dress, and maybe more of the personality of you than the photo that now adorns your grand mothers mantle piece from your 'big day' illustrates! Imagine one day a 'grand-child-to-be' might have a photo of YOU on their mantle piece - what would you like to feature in that photo frame?
Its YOUR Dress, you can do what you want with it If you want to 'trash it', thats your prerogative! - i'll be there to capture the moment for you!
I offer Personal 'Mess The Dress' photography sessions (be it artistic or adventurous!) as well as group outings (yes gather some of your girl friends and unpack your wedding dresses - liberate them from the moth balls and set the spirit and beauty of your wedding dress free!)
Private 'Mess The Dress Shoot'
A Private Wedding Dress Portrait Shoot' lasts around 60 - 90 minutes
Prices start from £275 (including ownership of all images on DVD (at full quality) and on USB (resized for email/ facebook) plus your favorite enlarged and mounted [40cm x 30cm] - ready for framing)
The price includes all venue admissions fees & a glass of bubbly
Private Group 'Mess The Dress and Trash The Dress Photo Shoots'
Get together a group of friends (maybe you've ALL got your wedding dress, which might have been boxed in the attic since that legendary day!) We can make an afternoon of capturing you each bride and her wedding dress in turn and then some highly original group shots of a group of brides - out on location. Allow a couple of hours!(you tell me where! - i'll be there!)
Group prices start from £150 per bride and her dress (including ownership of all images and your favorite image enlarged and mounted) The Price includes lunch and a bottle of bubbly to share ;)
'Mess The Dress' Books are available, documenting you and your friends showing off their dress! - hardback bound books with real photo pages of your group session are available from £50 (minimum order of 4 copies)
Of course you will Own every image that we create during this photo shoot - yours to keep all the images captured on (c) Copyright Free Archival DVD & USB as well as a Mounted Professional Print ready for Framing (Upgrade this to a stretched Canvas Print for £40)
'Set Calender Days' Mess The Dress in Spring, Summer & Autumn
Spring (UK): Sunday DATE - TBC - 2012 Outing to a renowned National Trust gardens with an abundance of floral colour and forests (possibly a few puddles!)
Primavera (ITALY): Sunday - DATE - da conferm ara - 2012
Summer (UK): Sunday - JULY 1st - 2012 Outing in ther Bath area of to the sea side - presenting us with many opportunities - from sea spray glossy pebbles, sand dunes and to get your feet wet and perhaps a swim?
Estate (ITALY): Sunday - DATE - da conferm ara - 2012 - The coastline of Trieste - with Mira Mare Castle as a backdrop
Autumn (UK): Sunday - DATE - TBC - 2012 - Outing to some famous wooded gardens, complete with lake and private grottoes with a backdrop of autumnal colour on the turn.
Autunno (ITALY): Sunday - DATE - da conferm ara - 2012 - A trip into the Karst on the Slovenian boarder north of Venice- with vibrant autumn colours and dramatic limestone cliffs.
Prices for the Group Mess The Dress Days start from £145 (including ownership of all images captured on Copyright free DVDs and your favorite enlarged and mounted)
Prices include any admissions fees to private houses and grounds and refreshments (plus a glass of bubbly)
Subject to availability and minimum numbers (of attendees not glasses of bubbly!) Groups are restricted to a max of 4 brides and their dresses
All brides whose weddings I have photographed (any previous 180 brides) will be eligible for a free upgrade of a Stretched Canvas Print on any group or a private portrait shoot.
